After X-Factor, Edoardo Borghini brings us "Cicabon"

 

Halloween è passato e abbiamo perso un'ora di sole al giorno, portandoci al freddo al culmine delle vacanze invernali. Anche se il clima cupo ci ha costretti a restare chiusi in casa per il momento, nulla può togliere lo stato d'animo solare che l'estate crea.

Invece di cedere alla depressione del buio, immergiti in una spensierata atmosfera vacanziera rievocando le attività estive nel calore di casa tua. Lo si può fare ascoltando l'ultimo singolo di Edoardo Borghini, “Cicabon”. Il vivace brano dal sapore nostalgico estivo è dominato da un incalzante ritmo latino che vi farà rivivere le vibrazioni di quelle serate in spiaggia o nei locali all'aperto, facendovi dimenticare temporaneamente l'arrivo del freddo invernale. Dopo l'introduzione inizia il ritmo vivace e lo slogan del ritornello ci viene subito in mente. Nonostante il brano sia a scopo di intrattenimento, la raffinatezza sonora che lo rende musicalmente è tutt'altro che banale.

Il ritmo del “Cicabon” è enfatizzato dalla tecnica della ripetizione vocale che crea un flusso continuo, coinvolgente ed ipnotico, mentre i testi evocano immagini legate ad una vita spensierata e placida. L'inserimento di parole francesi e spagnole conferiscono al brano un fascino esotico e multietnico. La scelta dei suoni e l'arrangiamento finemente realizzato lo elevano a qualcosa di più di un semplice brano di musica dance. Nella seconda metà abbiamo una svolta stilistica. Dagli iniziali audaci ritmi latini si passa ad un potente disco beat anni '90 che a sua volta ci porta ad un ottimo assolo di basso in stile funky.

Lentamente, la traccia ritorna al suo mood iniziale, riportandoci al centro della pista da ballo. Il brano si conclude con i suoni delle tastiere che risuonano fino a sfumare nel silenzio, lasciandoci con uno scintillante senso di rinnovato entusiasmo.

"Cicabon" is a real panacea against the grayness of autumn. Opening with a guitar then leading to various synths, it creates an atmosphere of brilliant joy in just a few seconds. After the introduction, the lively rhythm starts and the catchphrase of the chorus immediately gets into our heads. Although the song is for entertainment purposes, the sonic refinement that makes it musically anything but banal. 

The rhythm of the "Cicabon" is emphasized by the vocal repetition technique which creates a continuous engaging and hypnotic flow, while the lyrics evoke images connected to a carefree and placid life. The inclusion of French and Spanish words give the track an exotic and multi-ethnic charm. The choice of sounds and the finely crafted arrangement elevates it to more than a simple piece of dance music. In the second half, we have a stylistic twist. From the initial daring Latin rhythms we move on to a powerful 90s disco beat which in turn leads us to an excellent funky style bass solo.

Slowly, the track returns to its initial mood, bringing us back to the center of the dance floor. The song ends with the sounds of the keyboards resonating until they fade into silence, leaving us with a sparkling sense of renewed enthusiasm.
